Cipan is a unique company in the Portuguese industrial landscape. It has had an outstanding evolution in a country without any tradition in the areas of industrial microbiology and antibiotics production at the time of its foundation in 1960.
Cipan established itself as a technology developer and provider with the design and construction of industrial APIs plants worldwide in the 80’s and 90’s.
Cipan is still today the only APIs producer in Portugal using industrial biotechnology processes.
